We are not hunters anymore
The primordial and natural process of learning has been overshadowed by the
omnipresence of technology,
impeding the direct contact of the human body with the world. As a result there is no experience anymore, nowadays learning means reading, and the corporeal receptiveness has been replaced by a technological memory, Internet.

Human being is able to feel pain and pleasure, to experience several emotional stages, but what happens when everything starts to be filtrated by technology?

We rely only on the explicit knowledge, rather numbers, data, formulas, universal principles and systematic information. Our reactions, our discoveries, are not ours, they belong to a collective sterile wisdom.

Experience is disappearing, human being is scared to try something bodily, directly, making mistakes and trying again. We think that experience is something not needed anymore, instead the result is a sick society, continuously bored, unsatisfied, because of the lack of direct contact with life.

Experience is strongly related with tacit knowledge, which is connected to the individual cognitive dimension. It is about subjective insights, intuitions, and hunches fall into this category of knowledge.
In this sense re- educating our body means relying on this knowledge, that is not empiric, it is not bullet proof, but is personal, it lets human being approach the world bodily again.

We need to re-educate our body to experience

In voodoo rituals body is widely involved, it is fundamental for the final output of certain spells.
The body becomes a musical instrument, an object of sacrifice, an essential element of rituals performances.
Re-discovering the world using our tacit knowledge, means involving directly our corporeal side, and using our flesh as a divine truth, awaking from the state of anaesthesia. Voodoo is going to detoxifying the body from paralysis, turning on stimuli and impulses towards an unknown world, mystery and magic, sensing the invisible through the visible and concrete.
Re-educating the body means as a consequence re-educating the soul to spirituality again, that is a fundamental necessity for a human being. In this sense spirituality is instinct, impulse, hunch for something that might be true, but can’t be demonstrated. In modern secular society spirituality is being ' rediscovered ’ as a lost or at list hidden dimension in a largely materialistic world.

Re-activating the body through experience in order to re-develop inner instincts and primordial intuitions.
